Matt Cassel

Matthew Brennan Cassel (born May 17, 1982, Los Angeles, California) is a quarterback with the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League. He was drafted by the New England Patriots in the seventh round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He became the Patriots' starting quarterback in Week 1 of the 2008 season after then reigning NFL MVP Tom Brady suffered a season-ending knee injury. According to ESPN research, he is the only known quarterback in NFL history to start an NFL game at quarterback without ever starting at quarterback in college.  In July 2009, Matt became the starting quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs.  It was his move to Kansas City that introduced him to the Shadow Buddies Foundation.  His compassion and heart for giving has made him invaluable to our organization.  We are excited to grow his programs as he embarks on his new adventure in Minnesota! -click here to learn more about Matt-

Miles Postlethwait

Inspiration and Co-Creator of the Shadow Buddy Miles Postlethwait has endured more than most of us could imagine. He was born with midline congenital birth defects and from the time he took his first breathe he has fought for his life. And at 26 years old he has had 40 major operations and has more in his future. Because he has spent so much time in the hospital, Miles fully understands how lonely and scary it can be for a child. His goal was to have these buddies help comfort children when they had no one around.

Tony Gonzalez

Gonzalez was traded to the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft on April 23, 2010. In his first regular season game with Atlanta against Miami Dolphins, Gonzalez caught a touchdown pass from Matt Ryan and became the 21st player in NFL history with 11,000 receiving yard. -click here to learn more about Tony-
