2024 “Shoot for the Kids”

The Shadow Buddies Foundation is excited to announce that our 9th Annual Shadow Buddies “Shoot for the Kids” event is scheduled for Thursday, April 25th at Powder Creek Shooting Park in Lenexa, Kansas. This year, due to popular demand, we will be hosting a morning flight as well as an afternoon flight.

Launched in 2016, the “Shoot for the Kids” a clay target event is one of the most thrilling events put on by the Shadow Buddies Foundation. Our goal is to raise $80,000 that will support over 3,500 medically challenged children battling long-term conditions in our community. The funds raised will provide “Courage Capes - Capes for Kids” a child sized Superhero cape and mask which allows them to do play therapy and be a Hero! They also receive a Superhero Shadow Buddy to be by their side while going through treatment.

New this year, our 9th Annual Shadow Buddies Shoot for the Kids in 2024, will offer a morning flight as well as an afternoon flight. We will host 18 teams per flight and are thrilled to enjoy a fun filled day of competitive clay target shooting with four shooters on a team. All participants will enjoy complimentary food, drinks, snacks, and prizes. We will host a silent auction and raffle for each session.

Once again, we are honored to have our founding chairman John Almeida host this event, along with two new chairmen, Chris Evans, and Jason Piper. We are grateful for the support from our community and know that it will be an exciting day for sure! We have attached both the team registration and shooter information for the event. You need to indicate which flight your team will be participating in, and flight selection will be on a first come first serve basis. Each year we sell out this event and encourage you to get your registration in soon.
