Introducing a beloved member to our Shadow Buddies Family, “Gus”. Gus is a black lab and is soft and furry with heart eyes for love and a cute pink tongue to bring you a smile. Gus has been created after a K9 Gus who joined the Sheriff’s Office in March of 2020. His handler is Master Deputy J. Weese who has been with the Sheriff’s Office since 2003.
In order to best meet the needs of the children we serve and requests from Child Life Specialists, Gus was created, and we were so excited to introduce him the summer of 2023. Our furry friend Gus will be a perfect fit accompanying our Shadow Buddies providing comfort and compassion to children going through medical treatments and therapy. We are giddy about Gus and know the kids will be too! Now we can provide a companion to join your Buddy. Gus features soft black fur, special badge, heart shaped eyes, and his very own doghouse.
